Wheel of Knowledge appears with three songs taken from the 2006 release 'Annihilation' cd-r, on 'RIPRENDIAMO (DAL)LA COSTITUZIONE', a video released by the Modena Institute for the study of Resistance and Contemporary History, by the Provincia di Modena District and by the Emilia-Romagna Region, Italy.
Containing an interview with former Italian Republic President Oscar Luigi Scalfaro, the Dvd is now distributed in the schools of Modena with the intent of sensitize the scholars to the values of Italian Constitution, the fundamental Act of Italian Repubblic.

WHEEL OF KNOWLEDGE - SEMELLE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK

Dear all,

Thirty Tyrants Prod & Plasticrane Prod. are proud to present the SEMELLE Original Soundtrack, composed and recorded by Wheel of Knowledge for Andrea Zanoli & Marco Marconcini’s Semelle movie, who won several prizes at the Location Piacenza Film Festival, Italy, in which it has been released from 13th to 19th of June 2009.

Wheel of Knowledge thought it was worth the less to release something superb for this superb movie, and, in one week of work, the first results recorded joined the movie images; tons of sounds has been of course roughly cut of the movie, since WOK composed 40 minutes of music more then needed; in the movie, you can listen only a part of the entire soundtrack; but then, after champagne and expensive cigars have been consumed and the movie-crew get mad in Piacenza’s worst bars, WOK worked again on the music, choosing which sound would better fit to the imagination of the original thesis of the movie, which represented a world under control by police and by some infamous fascist patrols, a world in which the curfew begin when the sun set and in which idiotic mass media information reports politicians idiotic statements.

The meaning of the movie, which is that the beauty of the world is still present around us, for all «those who [didn’t] bartered their freedom for the safety to live under lock and key but [for those] who preferred the risk to be free», is widely represented in WOK music, who released a long track (32mins – the longest track ever released by WOK) composed in more parts like a sort of stream of consciousness on the subject described above. The second and third tracks, instead, were explicitly commissioned by the movie directors, while the third one, originally intended to be the soundtrack for the rebels’ pursuit scene, wasn’t add to the movie at last.

AUSTERITY: "AUSTERITY" CD, "PERPETUA NOX DORMIENDA EST" CD & Tape

Dear lost souls,
I'm proud to announce that NOW ARE AVAILABLE the second AUSTERITY album, called "Austerity", and the re-press of the first album, "Perpetua Nox Dormienda Est", ARE AVAILABLE.

"Austerity" could be described as a new megalitic and monolitic ambient/doom album, reflexive and slow, for a lenght of 76 minutes divided in six tracks. Same feelings of the first album, but more desperate and grim.

"Perpetua Nox Dormienda Est" is the re-press of the acclaimed first Austerity album, which has already been pressed 4 times - and for 4 time made sold out. Out soon with a new back-cover and with a new track instead of "Veris Leta Facies".

Both albums are on Audio CD, with serigraphy, in cellophaned jewel-case, and both limited to 100 copies. An advise: these are not normal CDs, but Audio CDs, produced for a miscomprehension with the pressing factory. There is absolutely no difference between these Audio CDs and normal CDs; the only difference is that these are not made by glasspress print, but by digital print. Anyway, don't be embarassed by these technical details, the music on the album it's the same, CD or Audio CD.

“ZERO – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK”,
composed by Wheel of Knowledge. ZERO is a short-cut movie (8mins) filmed
in stop-motion with plasticine puppets, reporting the psichedelic trip of Zero,
the tormented poet who dreams and write about his perception of reality and life.
The soundtrack (24mins) has been created exclusively for this movie and for it's continuation, another short movie called "La Maschera" (The Masque), by Matteo Zorzetto.
